The
Advance RISC Machines, is today the heart where all activities of
handheld and compact devices are taken. Be it a cell phones or PDAs or
any device one can think of. The introduction of RISC sparked interest
in executing compressed code in the instruction cache to reduce the
memory overhead of fixed length instructions code compression and bus
compaction, reducing the switching of used bits or sending fractions
of words. The ARM processor is at the centre of this every drive for
power-efficient processing. It therefore seems appropriate to consider
the issues around design for low power. The ARM processors have an edge
over other processor architectures and the knowledge of the same is
very essential for the one who wants himself to be technologically
driven. Today most of the application development work is done on
wireless embedded Systems and people application developers need a
better understanding of the underling architecture. So knowledge of
